The Office of Sponsored Research
The Office of Sponsored Research supports faculty members in all disciplines by providing information about appropriate sources of external grant and fellowship support for their research and by working with them to prepare grant proposals and budgets. In addition, the director serves as a liaison to faculty on responsibilities relating to grant administration and compliance with regulations concerning expenditure of federal funds.
Additional Research Support Grants
Due to the disruption to research and scholarly activity during the pandemic, the Provost’s Office is making available to all eligible associate and assistant professors for AY2021-22 & AY2022-23 additional research support grants. There is no deadline to submit and the funding will be available from July 1 to June 30 of each academic year, though any remaining balances will not carry over. This grant will be reimbursable (except if it is used to support child care expenses, in which case, as with Faculty Awards grants for childcare, it will have fringe deducted and will be treated as taxable income). Faculty may supplement this special research support grant with regular funding from FRAC.
