Where can I see sample applications for Schiff and Levitt submissions?

There are samples available inside the app once the app is open for submissions.

I have two thesis advisors: both an on-campus advisor and an advisor at another institution where I am doing research. Who should write my recommendation?

Your on-campus advisor will write and upload a letter of reference. You have the option to ask your off-campus advisor to provide a letter of reference as well. The off-campus advisor emails their letter to registrar@wellesley.edu.

Can I apply for a Schiff Fellowship if I have already been awarded a Levitt Fellowship?

No. Students who have been awarded a Levitt Fellowship award are not eligible to apply to the Schiff Fellowship.

I am enrolled in a 355 (Thesis Research in select departments) or 350 (Independent Study) this semester, but I intend to enroll in a 370 for Spring. May I apply for a Schiff Fellowship?

No. Only students who are enrolled in a 360 (Thesis Research) can apply for the Schiff Fellowship.

Students whose departments recommend them for a 360 at the end of their Junior year can apply for a Levitt.

What are the obligations of each of the Fellowships?

Additionally, Schiff Fellowship recipients are expected to submit a one-page reflection to the Office of the Provost and Dean of the College before Commencement atthesis@wellesley.edu.
