Jada Onwuta

My name is Jada Onwuta, and I'm a freshman pursuing Biology and Computer Science (this is totally subject to change, however). I'm first-gen, and the majority of my family is from Nigeria, though they're sprinkled pretty much all over the world.

I was born and (partially) raised in Boston, but I moved and did the bulk of my maturing in San Marcos, California. Moving from the gritty, historic atmosphere of the city to a small college town with rolling hills in the distance made me realize how much we take nature for granted.直到我看了看left of me during a particularly long drive on the freeway and balked from the way the sun reflected off of the green hills in the distance that my eyes opened to the world around me, and I learned to just… breathe.

Some things I really enjoy doing are looking for games with lots of open-world and very beautiful scenery, creatively writing about anything and everything, and running errands for my family (walking through the grocery store is one of my favorite pastimes). I’m doing the Paulson internship to get my hands in some dirt and to watch the environment I invest my time in grow and thrive.
